Our main goal at Tribe is first and foremost to empower digital communities with technological innovation. The Global Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) Challenge, launched by the Monetary Authority of Singapore in June 2021, presents key opportunities for central banks to provide better payments, improve financial inclusion/health, and support increasingly digital economies.

This challenge is open to FinTech companies, financial institutions, and solution providers around the world. Participants can expect to take on a multitude of problem statements designed to challenge their creativity, and the top 15 finalists will be selected to receive exclusive networking opportunities with industry experts, gain exclusive access to the digital currency sandbox on APIX for the rapid prototyping of digital currency solutions as well as technology provided by our technical partners.

Finalists will have the chance to pitch their solutions to the global audience at the Demo Day to be held at this year’s Singapore FinTech Festival in November 2021. Up to three winners will be selected to receive S$150,000 in cash prizes or up to S$200,000 awarded in grants.
